Japan’s Chuetsu Pulp hiking some fine paper prices by 15% as of July
COLOGNE, Germany, 26 May 2022 (PPI Asia) - In Japan, Chuetsu Pulp has announced a 15% price hike for some of its fine paper and envelope prices, starting from July 1 shipments.
Chuetsu cited its efforts to rationalize production through the upcoming shut of the 90,000 tonne/yr uncoated fine paper PM 6 at its Takaoka mill in Toyama prefecture, but explained the hike was unavoidable due to soaring input and production costs.
